The village is surrounded by woodland, leading walkers along the “Grands Chenes” path, and the stream “La Petite Maine” runs through the village. An enchanting, bucolic setting… The semi-circular doorway of the Notre Dame chapel, which became the parish church in the 15th century, is decorated with two beautiful voussures. In the 12th century, the nuns of Fontevraud Abbey founded a priory here. The abbess of Fontevraud had the right to tithe and the right of justice. Don’t hesitate to take a stroll along the “Sentier des Grands Chênes”, where the majesty of these sumptuous specimens, said to be thousands of years old, will not leave you indifferent!
