The core of this collection, assembled by Henri Aymard (1878 – 1956), consists of 35 Romanesque capitals from the 12th century, around ten abacuses and 2 portal voussoirs. The whole is in the form of a medieval chapel. It is not a place of worship, but rather a décor reconstructed in the early 20th century, bringing together the 3 major artistic expressions of the Middle Ages: sculpture, painting and stained glass.
